What is Podophyllotoxin Powder?

Podophyllotoxin powder is a non-alkaloid lignan toxin extracted from the rhizome of podophyllum. It is the precursor of the anti-tumor drug etoposide. It does not have the function of a topoisomerase inhibitor itself, but after a series of chemical modifications, the etoposide formed has topoisomerase inhibitor activity and can play an anti-tumor role. It is also used to treat condyloma acuminatum in the male or female genital or anal area, and can also be used for other viral warts.
